Our Health: More Then The Genes

Our Environment Influences Our Health More Then The Genes.

Science called Epigenetics studies the influences that impact our health

The interview below explains how our mind and environment influence our health.

The cellular biologist Bruce Lipton, one of my favored teachers, explains in a "down to earth" language how we can influence out health.
Genes are not that powerful!

Tune-up your vibes

Today a lovely friend of mine told me how she successfully utilized one of the suggestions I gave her from my teachings.

She had planed to spend her day off as a productive day, filled with baking of her famous Christmas cookies. She imagined to have the baking wrapped in packages and then go to deliver them to her friends.
But in the middle of her work she received a call to come to work which completely turned her plan upside down. She described to me her first reaction which was frustration, disappointment and anger "how can they just do this to me?"
Then she calmed herself down by turning her thoughts to better feeling ones and there they were :"It's nice that my friends and family like my cookies, they actually asked me to do it so that means they really like them, I love my work and I have everything ready to go anyway, I can deliver another day, there is plenty of time till Christmas so no rush...."
And she finished her story saying to me that after this adjustment she could finish her baking and get ready for work. She said also that with the adjustment to better feeling thought, she actually notice the happiness while doing the baking as she saw in the mind the kids and friends who she loves and who appreciate her with or without the cokkies.

Inspired by this story I thought I'll introduce you to an uplifting exercise.
This is actually one of the exercises from the 30-Day Good-Feel Challenge.

The goal is to spend extended period of time in a deliberately created good-feeling mood.

We have so many great things in our life, things we acquired maybe quite the long time ago and now the excitement that was there when we got it is gone.
We can connect again with the positive of those objects simply by realizing how much they benefit our life.

The exercise:
  1. Look around in your surroundings and pick an object that is pleasing you.
  2. Count all the positive aspects that you see in it.
  3. Do it intentionally on at least 5 objects or as long it creates a good-feeling vibe.

This can be spoken in your mind, or aloud or written down
Choose the method that brings you into the highest energy of joy/ good-feeling/appreciation.
Have Fun!!!

Allow More Than You Can Imagine

Allow more then you can imagine to come into your life:

We all live in a steady expansion to more.
We know more today then before, we have more and we want to have more (in all aspects of life).

Growth is natural part of life visible everywhere.

The precursor of every new event is the mental creation as a thought or image which happens automatically once we start to focus on the subject.

This is meanwhile common knowledge and many people use this knowledge intentionally by creating images, vision boards or power point programs about the preferences they want to bring into reality.

There is one important aspect to mention in regards to a vision:
You vision is the product of your mind that operates by analyzing the material that it collected through your experiences in the past/until today.
You may then agree that there is much more "out there", which your mind is not aware of.

The conclusion:
you can create a new reality much greater then the vision your mind can conjure.

Therefore it is beneficial to see the vision of your intended outcome as a symbol.
Your vision is a tool that helps you to achieve the feeling you envision to have in the moment of manifestation of the desired event.

Allow to receive more then you can imagine, by keeping this thought in mind.
Imagine the feeling you'll have when your envisioned desire manifests as the reality of your life.

Allow Life to bring you more then you can imagine.

There is more than you can imagine
Allow this possibility in your mind
engage in activities that excite you,
because joy is the thread that leads you to the manifestation of your desire.
Enjoy the journey!!!

How to Define Life's Purpose

Meaningful Life:
We can bring deep meaning to our life when we utilize the activity that gives us most joy in service that supports our vision of the ideal world.

How to find Life’s Purpose?

1.     Define what activities bring you most joy and excitement (this usually involves your talents, skills and faculties)

2.     Define what is your vision of the ideal world

3.     Define how you can support the realization of your vision through service, product, activity that is based on doing what brings you the most joy and excitement.

4.     Combine the above definitions into one statement

Now you are ready to

Write the definition of your Life's Purpose:
(you can use  guidelines below)

My Life’s Purpose:

  • I envision a world where ..............[what you defined in the above exercise]
  • I support this vision by ...............[name what you are doing in support of it/activity, cause, product, service, hobby)
  • Which brings me much ................[state the emotion and values /how you feel and the values you experience….joy, worthy, etc.]

Example:/ When completed,(this is my personal Life’s Purpose is):
Mila Lansdowne's Life's Purpose
I have a vision of a peaceful world where people use their unique talents and skills to experience their worthiness and create a fulfilling and prosperous life by providing service to others. I am serving this vision by empowering others through educational lectures, inspirational products and self-empowerment workshops. By doing so I experience deep fulfillment and joy; I feel passion, drive and inspired.

Note: One’s purpose is defined only by the person itself and can change with the development of the person.

When you take time to spend some thoughts on yourself and how you want to live your life (using the above exercise), you will create a source of energy that will move you forward in life by making you feel your worthiness.
You will be in your power and free.

Have Fun with this!!!

Meaningful Life - What's With It?

Everything in nature has its purpose for being and the same applies to humans, no exception.

Everyone of us has a specific purpose with a two-fold benefit.

1. outward = we benefit the society
2. inward = we feel good about ourselves

To live a meaningful life means to serve the society by doing what we enjoy.

Meaningful life becomes our reality with the moment of realization of this thought.

Nothing exists until we become aware of it.

With meaning there comes drive and enthusiasm; persistence, endurance, love and joy.

This enthusiasm comes because, when we connect with our personal purpose for living, we start to experience who we really are. That's life at it's best.

You Are Here For A Reason
What Is Your Reason For Living?
Find it and live it!
(In the next post I'll tell you how to get there in case you are still searching)

The Life-Saving Power of Mind

Not what is happening to us, but how we think about what is happening creates our "destiny".

When we keep focused on what we see around us, we just re-create the same type of experiences over and over and wonder "same old same old'.
It is good to understand that it is not the "old" remaining the same, but the new created to the image we pondered in our life then.

You may have read the book "Man's Search for Meaning". The author, Victor Frankl, who was imprisoned in a concentration camp, survived life-threatening circumstances because he managed to keep focus on a vision despite the conditions that surrounded him.

He inspired others to think about what they are going to do after the war is over and who needs them and thereby keeping their focus on meaning for staying alive; imagining life after imprisonment.

What you predominantly think about, gains momentum and as a result your mind will "bring" you more information supporting your thoughts.

Keep your mind on what you want and why you want it and your mind will make you notice opportunities and ways to solutions.
Have an inspiring vision of your life.

The below clip gives you additional insights about this subject.

How to Use The Power of Your Words to Your Benefit

There are many books written about the power of the words we speak and I'd love to give you some pointers to the subject.

The first priority in my opinion is YOU and how you use the "I Am...." expression.

Did you hear others or yourself to say I Am.....followed by not really positive statement?
I've heard so many times people say "I'm an idiot"..........

"I Am" is a present tense statement usually used to define a fact. So if you think about  it from that point of view, you may agree that it does not really serve one's benefit when we use the I Am phrase with a negative statement as it most likely also doesn't reflect the truth.
  • become aware of how you speak about yourself when you say "I am...."
  • stop to use words that do not really honor who you are
  • rephrase your statements when you notice you fall back into the old habits
You are an unique individual with an abundance of talents, skills and qualities.
Do not put yourself down.

Do you like yourself?
Do you love yourself?
There is a a little test for you:" The Mirror Exercise"
Stand if front of a mirror, look at your image there, look into your eyes and say to your self: "I Love You". Repeat this exercise as often you can till you really believe it as a true statement.
Because it's true.
You are a lovable person.
